selling direct to the retail trade

The company was started as Photographix Unlimited by Ian O’Brien and his brother 21 years ago using an archive of old Photographs lovingly taken by their Great-Grand Father and turning them into Greeting Cards. Ian had a natural aptitude for writing captions and they did well for many years. Their business relationship came to a natural end and Ian realised that it was an ideal time to expand into markets other than photographic cards.
A chance meeting of James Greenwood and Ian at an exhibition led them to join forces. James had recently set up a card company selling handmade and cute cards. This company was Pigment Productions. Both companies ran alongside each other for a couple of years until it made sense to merge the two. At this point the name Pigment Productions was retained and the company was born as it is known today.
In 2002, Stephen Baker joined the business. Stephen added a new dimension to Pigment with his excellent sales and retail experience. This was the missing piece to create a dynamic trio now known unofficially as the Pigment boys!
The company has grown  and gone from strength to strength and now covers all ranges and occasions from cute /trendy/funny and sentimental – we now have cards that appeal to almost anyone. In 2007 Pigment won a prestigious award at The Henries – raising our profile even further.
Although the company has expanded dramatically and has invested heavily in IT systems, its ethos still lies in its people.
Team work and flexibility is a vital part of the company. Our aim is to bring the company forward to the front of the pack by offering not just a good product but excellent customer service with a personal touch.
